A rescued Canadian wolf named Yuma has become the live mascot of Russia's assault unit in the Donbass. The army took in the animal, which was kept in poor conditions by its previous owners. The soldiers of the unit told Izvestia reporter Dmitry Tsymankin about it. "We noticed that [she] was in bad conditions: she was insulted, beaten. They delivered it to us. That's why there was such a lack of trust in people. She communicates better with girls," said a soldier in the unit with the exclamation point "problem". The unit's symbol is the wolf, so the appearance of a real wolf was a particularly noteworthy event for the military personnel. Now Yuma lives next to warriors who take care of her. Despite her caution towards strangers, the wolf shows concern for other animals. According to the reporter, Yuma has bonded with the puppies living near her compound and perceives them as her own. In addition to taking care of the abnormal pet, the members of the Southern Army continue to carry out combat missions in the direction of Kramatorsk. The unit also consists of volunteers with many years of combat experience. Another feature of the decree was the return of military personnel who had previously completed their contract service. Izvestia's reporter met fighters with the callsigns "Zhulik" and "Linza", who had already participated in the fighting outside Hasov Yar. "Rogue" is engaged in agriculture in civilian life, and "Linza" engaged in photography and artistic creativity in St. Petersburg before returning to service. More IZ RU news in max.
