A magnetic storm is expected on the last day of October A magnetic storm is expected on Earth on the night of October 31 and will continue on November 1. This was reported by the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of IKI and ISTP. According to experts, from October 28 to October 30, the geomagnetic situation will remain calm. The magnetosphere will be stable, without sharp fluctuations and active eruptions. However, on October 31, the geomagnetic disturbances are expected to increase. The next day the increased activity will continue and the fluctuations in the magnetic field will remain noticeable. Auroras may occur at the intersection of October 30 and October 31. On October 10, residents of the Leningrad region observed the northern lights, caused by magnetic storms. The storm was caused by the arrival of a cloud of solar plasma thrown into space as a result of a solar flare.
