IDF spokesman:
The IDF and MGB forces operated during the night (Monday) in the area of the village of Jalud in the Samaria Division, to disperse Israeli rioters and to protect the residents of the village, while coordinating the return of a Palestinian family to their home in the village, which they were forced to abandon after several incidents of nationalist crimes against them. Due to the violence, the task of returning them to their home was not completed.
In the village, there were over 100 Israeli rioters who blocked roads, burned tires and threw stones at the security forces. Also, the rioters burned Palestinian buildings in the village, set fire to vehicles and other property.
As a result of the clashes, three security forces soldiers were slightly injured and a vehicle of the security forces was damaged.
The forces acted on the spot to disperse the gathering with the help of measures to disperse demonstrations and arrested two suspects who were transferred to the Shi'i District Police for questioning. Later, investigators from the Shia district will enter the scene together with the forensics investigators from the security of the IDF forces to collect findings, evidence and collect evidence for the benefit of the investigation that has begun.
The security system strongly condemns any harm to security personnel during the performance of their duties, acts of vandalism and damage to property. Events of this type divert attention, destabilize and harm the defense and countermeasures of the security forces.
