In these consultations, while explaining the basic positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, I clarified the need to respect the national sovereignty of countries, to stop aggression and threats, to avoid destructive foreign interventions and the responsibility of regional countries to prevent the spread of insecurity. I also emphasized the legitimate right of our country to protect its sovereignty and national security and the necessity of creating regional security arrangements without the intervention of extra-regional powers.
