US elections and the Iran problem; the opportunity for diplomacy, the necessity of preparation.
Sarah Masumi - IRNA reporter.
The result of the US mid-term elections and the weakening of Donald Trump's position in Washington can provide a new opportunity to promote diplomacy and end the war against Iran, but this result does not mean the end of the White House's authority to take military action or a guaranteed reduction in risk.
Iran's problem today is not a clear prediction of Trump's next decision, but a preparation to deal with different possibilities. The outcome of the American mid-term elections could be an opportunity for the diplomacy that Tehran has always used to end the war, but at the same time, it should not be confused with a guarantee for the final end of the war.
At the same time, considering the possible difference between Washington's and Tel Aviv's calculations, on the one hand, Tehran should not see the American decision as completely subject to the demands of the captives, and on the other hand, not see the difference between the two sides as a guarantee to contain Netanyahu.
