Secretary of the Iranian Textile Industry Association: The cost of transporting raw materials for the textile industry has quadrupled.
In an exclusive interview with IRNA, Seyed Shujaddin Ammiroff said today: Disruption in the maritime transport routes has increased the logistics costs of importing raw materials for this industry up to four times.
According to Emamireuf, at least 60% of the products of this industry are made of synthetic fibers, and since an important part of these materials depends on oil derivatives, the increase in the prices of oil and petrochemical products in the world markets directly affects the cost of supplying raw materials to the textile industry.
