Col. Ali Sabahi Fard, social deputy in Farja's economic security police, wrote in a note to IRNA:
Cryptocurrencies can be both an opportunity and a threat to the country's economy. The outcome depends on how clear and smart the regulation is: fair licensing and pricing for mining, transparency for exchanges and educating people about risks. The longer the legal ambiguity remains, the more harm than good will be done.
