Kazem Garibadi, Deputy Minister of Legal and International Affairs, said about the threats raised regarding the use of nuclear weapons: We hear in the media that there are people talking about the possibility of using tactical nuclear weapons, but so far we have not seen any official position from the authorities of these countries, including the US as an aggressor.
He added: Naturally, if these countries take an official position in this area, the issue will be fully addressed. They are also aware of the effects of the official announcement of such a threat.
Garibadi continued: If the official of a country like the US, which is a member of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and has a history of using nuclear weapons, officially announces that it intends to use tactical nuclear weapons against some of our infrastructure or facilities, the matter will go beyond legal proceedings.
