Bekai: Security accusations in Kuwait are completely rejected / stop harassing citizens of Kuwait and Bahrain under the pretext of identification with Iran.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ismail Bakkai, said in response to a question regarding the death sentences and life imprisonment in Kuwait to several people for alleged intelligence cooperation with Iran and assassination attempts on Kuwaiti officials, he said: The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran has clearly published the official position of our country in Kuwait in the past; These false allegations are completely rejected and baseless. We ask the Kuwaiti government to stop pressuring and harassing its citizens under false pretenses such as identification and empathy with Iran. The wave of accusations leveled against Iran or citizens belonging to our country in the last year or two, and especially in the last few months, lack any documentation and legal basis and are merely reproductions of negative stereotypes against the Islamic Republic. Referring to the extension of this approach to other countries in the Persian Gulf region, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: The Islamic Republic of Iran has always demonstrated its deep and principled adherence to the rules of good neighborliness, full respect for the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries in the region. Unfortunately, in addition to Kuwait, we also saw similar security behaviors in Bahrain; Actions of this type, carried out for political motives and against citizens, are not only a clear violation of the fundamental standards of human rights, but also distort and weaken the foundations and frameworks of the principle of good neighborliness.
