At 125 kg, after a break in the first round, Amir Hasin Zara defeated Jaspuran Singh of India in the second round with a score of 11-0 and made his way to the quarterfinals.
At this point he defeated Aaron Johnson from Jamaica with a score of 10-0 and reached the semi-finals.
