Health financing sources consist of three main axes: the government's general budget, the insurance system and direct payments to the people. These three axes are the main sources of financing the health system.
🔹To check the health financing situation in Israel, we reviewed several reports, according to which the direct payment share of the people from health expenses is 33%, supplementary insurances 13%, health services insurances 8%, other branches 3% and social security organization 14%. These sectors make a significant contribution to the financing of the health system.
During the tenure of Dr. Pazeshkian, with the efforts made in the area of increasing the health budget, tariff reform and financial support, we were able to create a significant increase in the percentage of the health credit. In my opinion, the increase in the health budget from 1404 to 1405 was an important step taken in this area, which was almost over 200%.
