The Consul of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Yerevan said in an interview to IRNA:
Warning about fake visas for transit from Armenia to third countries.
According to Javad Khakbaz Moghadam, Consul of the Embassy of the Republic of Salami Iran in the Republic of Armenia, recently we have seen an increase in the arrest of Iranian citizens in Armenia due to having fake visas or residence cards of third countries.
Their compatriots receive visas for Western countries through agencies in Iran and Turkey and by paying the Hanseid fees. And then some of them go to those countries through Armenia. Due to advanced scans at the exit borders of Armenia, including Zvartnots airport, 100% of fake visas are detected.
