Keihan Barzger stated on IRNA's "Diplomacy Table" program:
🎥 The most important measure for evaluating the results of the war is maintaining the power of deterrence.
War usually has no brands and all sides suffer losses. But if we look at the issue from a realistic point of view, it is important to maintain the deterrent power of a country at the end of the war and its ability to maintain the balance of power, in such a way that the other side cannot attack it again on the ground or in the case of a ground attack, costs will be imposed on it.
From this point of view, Iran managed to maintain the balance of power in this war; Otherwise, given the large scale of the bombing in the early days, the war should have ended. The attacks were very extensive and I don't know how many thousands of military targets were destroyed, but it seems that the Iranians were ready for resistance and this resistance was created. Since the resistance started and the war reached the stage of exhaustion, the Americans could end the war earlier, but they still expected the Iranians to lose their strength even after the 20th day; While as the war dragged on, Iran's destructive and deterrent power seemed to increase.
I think the most important issue is deterrence. If a country still maintains its deterrent power at the end of the war, can maintain the balance of power and more importantly, set conditions in negotiations, this issue is important. Usually, countries that surrender do not set conditions; Rather, conditions are placed before them and they sign. Such a situation also existed in important world wars.
