🔹 Said Khatibzadeh, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Head of the Center for Political and International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the opening ceremony of the Document Center and Museum of the Slain Seyed Kamal Harazi:

🔹 We gathered today to commemorate the killing of Dr. Syed Kamal Harazi. Although we will follow two or three programs in this ceremony, the main purpose of this gathering is to honor the name and memory of Harazi who was killed; A figure who for many of us is a prominent symbol of consensus building in the field of thought and practice of foreign policy. For this reason, friends have prepared a special meeting today for his role in this field.

🔹 The initiative of Dr. Iraqi, the Honorable Minister of Foreign Affairs, to name the document center after the slain Dr. Seyed Kamal Harazi, and also to launch a museum for the history of diplomacy, is an important step.

🔹 Of course, the circumstances did not allow the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' plan to establish a museum for the history of Iranian diplomacy to be fully implemented. This museum can contain the country's long history of diplomacy; A country that was one of the pioneers in the field of diplomacy in the old and new world.

🔹 Although the initial decisions were made and the preparations were made, the terms and conditions caused by the war did not allow this project to reach the opening stage at the appointed time.

As of today, according to Mr. Iraqi's opinion, this museum will be opened in a limited way in one of the locations of the document center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, using a number of valuable documents in this collection and a number of objects donated during Mr. Harazi's tenure.

🔹 We hope that this action is the first step to realize the idea of establishing a museum for the history of Iranian diplomacy and that this plan will be fully implemented in the following stages.
