Pourmohammadi, Head of the Program and Budget Organization:
In this year's census, the data of 30 systems were collected and cross-referenced.
With the registry-based method, we achieved almost 80% of what we wanted through the systems of government authorities.
With this big step taken, we achieved several results: First, the cost of this method was 90% lower than traditional statistics.
For example, recently 33 thousand statisticians were employed throughout the country, we had to prepare a tablet for each of them and it takes a lot of time to record household information.
In the previous period, the possibility of getting accurate information was very low, the statistical results were not particularly accurate, but it happened in this period.
๐น With the basic registration method, since everything was from the executive authority's data, we also obtained the items needed for section 169 of the direct taxes law. ๐น In this year's census, information was collected from 30 devices in the organization of the budget plan. Also, these data were cross-referenced with each other. Therefore, if a device such as document registration or the land and housing system had partial information, in this way, their information was also complete.
๐น The method we used in this year's census, only 4 countries in Asia used it, and in three countries the quality of our work was not there.
These countries included Turkey, Singapore, Indonesia and South Korea. We were the fifth country in Asia to conduct the census using the basic registration system, but the quality of our work was higher than the other four countries.
๐น So far, 19 countries in the world have used this registration method and we were the 20th country.
