Pourmohammadi, Head of the Program and Budget Organization:
The traditional census, which means going to the doors of individual people's houses, will no longer be implemented.
🔹 The method of collecting statistical data in Iran from ancient times until now is divided into several periods. There are several documents related to statistical data collection in ancient Iran.
🔹Also, on the inscriptions of Persepolis, we have a kind of census, which words such as statistics and numbers exist in our literature since that time, and there are also statistics on the number of people or women and men at that time.
By the end of the Qajar period we had census methods.
But since 1335, the census was conducted every 10 years, and this process continued until 1395.
🔹 In the traditional method, people were approached at their doorsteps. From 1405 onwards, the new type of census will be based on registration. 🔹 In the sense that instead of the presence of statistics gathering forces at people's doors and wasting a lot of time and money, we use all the existing data in the systems of various government authorities and unify them and refine the incomplete and inconsistent data.
