Kim Jong Un called for the military's readiness and combat power to be strengthened.

At the two-day meeting of the commanders of the army companies in Pyongyang, the North Korean leader called for turning these units into elite and independent combat units and emphasized the acceleration of the "military revolution" and the development of the army in accordance with the new era.

These statements were made in the context of the escalation of tensions between the two Koreas. Kim Yo Jong also announced that the border forces are on full alert; Pyongyang denies the charge of involvement in the mine explosion that injured three South Korean soldiers.
