the suffering of orthopedic patients in Birjand; From long queues to heavy costs.
Ismet Barji - IRNA reporter
The lack of orthopedic specialists in the public clinic of the Imam Reza (AS) Hospital in Birjand and the activity of only one doctor 15 days a month trapped the patients in a vicious circle of long lines, regiments in private clinics and heavy treatment costs.
The corridors of this specialized clinic are a meeting place with pain and patience every day. The hands of the clock move slowly, but the pulse of anticipation beats fast. Every day more than 70 patients, each with a deeper pain than the other, stare at the door of the orthopedic doctor's room with appointment sheets in their hands, on the chairs of the hall or leaning against the walls.
