Putin agreed to renew the tripartite negotiations to resolve the Ukrainian conflict.

The President of Russia said: Moscow announced its agreement with the US to renew negotiations between Russia, the US and Ukraine with the aim of achieving permanent and stable peace.

In an interview with Russian television, Vladimir Putin added: The purpose of these negotiations is not to stop the short-term conflict (ceasefire), but to ensure the security of Ukraine and Russia and to reach a final peace agreement.

The President of Russia said that Steve Witkoff, the special envoy of the President of the United States, said during the meeting with him on Tuesday in St. Petersburg that when talking about issues related to guaranteeing security in the future for Ukraine and Russia, it is of course necessary to discuss the future architecture of Europe. I agree with this approach.
