🔹 The national director of the program to control tuberculosis, leprosy and acute infections of the Ministry of Health said: According to estimates, about 15 million people in our country are infected with tuberculosis, who are potential reservoirs of the disease, and some of these people may become infected with tuberculosis in the future, especially if the Yemeni system is weakened.

Overall, the share of non-Iranian citizens among the TB cases identified in Iran has increased significantly and almost doubled in the last ten years. This process became more important, especially after the political and social developments in Afghanistan and the increase in the wave of immigration from this country to Iran.
