In a Reuters poll conducted between October 16 and 20, the vast majority of economists, meaning 94 out of a total of 100 people, expect the Federal Reserve to keep the federal interest rate steady in the range of 3.75 to 4 percent at the meeting on October 27 and 28 (November 5 and 6).
