The President: We have managed the consumption of electricity, gasoline and diesel so that the resources created can be used to compensate for the existing imbalance. Masoud Bejikian at the Nurse's Day commemoration ceremony:
We established a government that has four million people instead of a million people. What to do, can they be fired? Is such a thing even possible? How to manage this situation is a fundamental discussion. It is very simple for a person to sit by a well and write prescriptions, but managing a hospital or a macro system requires similar opinions, achieving a common language and vision and fair distribution, and this requires empathy, friendship and agreement. My belief is that we should solve all these problems based on science and knowledge, while these problems cannot be solved so easily, but we are solving them. We reduced electricity consumption by five percent; Whereas before, it grew by 6% annually. We have kept gasoline consumption at a level for the time being and have not allowed it to increase, and steps are being taken to reduce its consumption. We also managed the diesel consumption. We should have bought twelve billion dollars of gasoline, but so far we have only bought two or three billion dollars. If we look at each of these areas, our consumption is three to four times that of European countries. It is not so easy to manage these conditions in such a way that things will be corrected, discontent will not arise and the enemy will not take advantage. They blocked our way and even if we have money, we cannot buy gasoline. However, cars drive on the streets and consume gasoline.
