Thousands of teachers and students protested in Madrid, Spain

About 65,000 teachers, pupils and students in Madrid, the capital of Spain, after a failure of several months of trade union negotiations with the local government, while intercepting the chronic lack of education funds, long working hours and overcrowding in classrooms, started demonstrations and mass strikes.

🔹 The demonstrators demand an increase of 600 euros in the monthly salary, a reduction in teaching hours and a reduction in the density of students in the classrooms; Meanwhile, the arrival of riot police to remove barricades at the universities led to violence, at least 7 people were injured and 5 protesters were arrested.
