Government Spokesman: Compared to last year, we have reduced fuel consumption by 7% Mohajerni regarding the implementation of the fuel consumption management program and car-free Tuesdays:

I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart all the people, and especially the civil servants, who are taking steps to reduce fuel consumption and promote the use of public transportation through participation in the "car-free Tuesdays" project. Along with these steps, the development of public transportation infrastructure is also ongoing in order to provide the ground for people to use these capabilities more. According to statistics, between September 8 and October 7, compared to the same period last year, we saw a 7% decrease in fuel consumption and a 12% increase in compressed natural gas (CNG) consumption. To emphasize more use of CNG fuel; Because this fuel consumption development, in addition to helping reduce air pollution, can lead to savings in gasoline consumption and better management of the country's energy resources. Reducing gasoline consumption also reduces the country's need to import this product. If the fuel consumption trend continues at the same upward slope as before, the government will have to import more to meet the country's needs. Also, I emphasize that the government is trying to utilize the resources and benefit from the savings in fuel consumption in order to improve people's livelihood and meet their needs.
