The "Financial Times" newspaper reported that following the missile and drone attacks by Yemen's armed forces on Riyadh's international airport and Aramco facilities and the occurrence of serious flight disruptions, senior managers of the world's largest oil companies canceled their participation in the Riyadh energy conference due to security concerns.

These insecurities and security warnings from the embassies to their citizens occur in a situation where successive attacks on Riyadh and attacks on oil tankers in the region have undermined investor confidence in Saudi security and caused a spike in oil prices in global markets.
