The challenge of the "meat" river Yasuj between water shortage and pollution

🔹The monitoring deputies of the General Department of the Environment, Kogilula and Boyar Ahmed said: Despite five high-quality monitoring stations, the Beshar Yasuj River is losing the quality required to irrigate rice fields in the summer season downstream (in the Mukhtar Yasuj Bridge area) due to the decrease in the flow of municipal water and sewage inward.

Due to the topographical location of the city of Yasuj, this river contains all the surface runoff and sewage, and at the same time is a source of irrigation for rice fields and fish farms downstream of the river, with the reduction of water flow in the summer season, the self-purification capacity and its use for agriculture and even threats for drinking decreased.
