Emphasizing the vital role of the four corridors in the development of Central Asia

The presidents of five Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan approved a joint statement at the Turkmenistan summit, according to which the East-West and North-South transport corridors were recognized as a regional development priority.

At this summit, the growing importance of this region in trade in Eurasia and in the international supply chain was emphasized, and the current heads of state proposed a transition to the expansion of transportation networks, closer industrial cooperation and cross-border investments, and emphasized the utilization of the geographical advantages of the region and maintaining flexibility in international economic relations.
