Global Financial Meeting Without Basset; US bonds at a 25-year high

At the same time as the US bond yield reached its highest level in almost 25 years, Scott Bessant, the Treasury Secretary of this country, stopped attending the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Bangkok; a development that occurs under conditions of growing fears of inflation caused by the surge in energy prices and pressure on the debt markets. Earlier, at the end of September, the yield on the US 30-year bond reached to the highest level since 2004.
