Iran's presence at this meeting was an opportunity to expand cooperation with member states and strengthen the country's geographic position in regional relations. In his speech, referring to Iran's position in connecting Central Asia and its investment in open waters, Pazhkian emphasized the necessity of linking the region's capabilities in the fields of trade, energy, transportation and investments. He also proposed the creation of the cooperation framework "CIS+1" with the participation of Iran; A framework that can, according to the president, provide cooperation in the areas of transition, energy, trade, technology, the environment, tourism and scientific and cultural exchanges.
