In response to Trump and Putin's agreement, London insisted on the continuation of Russian sanctions

In a statement published by the Prime Minister's Office, a spokesman for the British government announced that London's position regarding Russia is clear and that the country will continue to cooperate with international partners to provide the military and financial support that Ukraine needs.

He added: We will maintain pressure on Russia through the most severe sanctions system we have employed so far, so that the cost of Putin's actions will increase and efforts to achieve a just and sustainable peace will be strengthened.

The spokesman for the British government also claimed that Ukraine has repeatedly shown its readiness for peace, but Russia has rejected full and limited proposals for a ceasefire and has continued to attack Ukrainian civilians and energy infrastructure.
