Does a hot drink cool the body/the scientific fact behind a common belief
Studies show that hot drinks can cool the body under certain conditions; But in humid and unventilated environments, it does the exact opposite and heats you up.
The Guardian website reported in a report:
A hot cup of tea can cool you down in hot weather, but only if you are in a well-ventilated area with a breeze. Otherwise, the hot drink will make you warmer, not cooler. Caffeine lovers often drink coffee at 30 degrees and tell themselves it will cool them down.
