At this meeting, the two sides, while reviewing the latest state of bilateral relations, exchanged views on ways to develop and deepen relations between Tehran and Ashgabat in the fields political, economic and commercial. The presidents of Iran and Turkmenistan also emphasized the need to follow up and accelerate the implementation of the agreed projects and take advantage of mutual opportunities for the expansion of bilateral relations, while referring to the vast capabilities available to improve the level of joint cooperation. In this meeting, regional cooperation and issues related to the Caspian Sea were also discussed, and the two sides emphasized the importance of strengthening the cooperation of the Caspian coastal countries, protecting the environment of the Caspian Sea.
