The Commonwealth of Nations (CIS) summit began on Friday in the Avaza tourism region of Turkmenistan, where members of this regional cooperation mechanism invited Iranian President Salami to their summit for the first time.

The Russian media wrote: The meeting began with a souvenir photo in which President Massoud Pezhkian can be seen next to the presidents of Russia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and the Prime Minister of Armenia.
