US Democratic Senator Chris Murphy, after returning from his regional trip, accused US Secretary of War Pete Guest of preventing a visit to the al-Adid base in Qatar to hide the true dimensions and costs of the war with Iran from Congress and public opinion.

Referring to the very heavy damage and the uninhabitability of parts of the American embassy in Riyadh due to drone attacks and serious damage to the Ras Lafan gas facilities in Qatar, he emphasized that if the war continues, Congress must stop approving military budgets.
