Gaza three years after the start of the new round of genocide; 74 thousand dead and 60 million tons of waste

Three years have passed since the beginning of the new round of genocide in Palestine, and the Palestinian people are still struggling with countless pains and sufferings, Gaza is still under the heavy burden of the results of the war; Statistics indicate the martyrdom of more than 74,000 Palestinians, the injury of 175,000 people and the destruction of most of the vital infrastructure, and estimates have raised the cost of rebuilding the barrier to more than 71 billion dollars.

According to UNICEF's assessment in April 2026, almost 98% of school buildings in Gaza were damaged, more than 93% needed basic or complete reconstruction, and about 81% were directly damaged. About 700,000 children between the ages of four and 17 have missed almost three years of face-to-face education, and 420,000 children still do not have access to face-to-face education. The limited reopening of most education centers is an emergency measure to prevent the loss of a generation.
