The president of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Tomoko Akane, emphasized that the American sanctions against officials of this court are part of a "broader ground attack against the rule of law".

According to IRNA, citing the Press Union news agency, Akane Dushanbe said in a speech in Dublin, the capital of Ireland, that it is essential to protect the International Criminal Court from political pressure.

This Japanese judge noted: We have faced many obstacles since the establishment of this institution, but this situation has intensified in recent years.
