The 8th "Moscow Format" consultation meeting on Afghanistan opened on Monday in the Russian capital in the presence of delegations from 12 countries, including the Islamic Republic of Iran.
A commemorative photo of the special envoys of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Russia, Afghanistan, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan along with two guest countries including Belarus and Egypt were the beginning of this meeting.
The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, will be the opening speaker of this meeting, which is being held in the presence of Mohammad Reza Bahrami, the Assistant Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Afghanistan Affairs.
๐นAmir Khan Mutagi, the foreign minister of Afghanistan, as well as the special representative of Pakistan for the affairs of Afghanistan, whose countries have experienced tensions and mutual attacks in recent months, are present at this meeting. The special representative of the Russian president, who stated that special attention will be paid to the worsening of the conflicts between Afghanistan and Pakistan, announced that Russia is ready to mediate between these two countries to achieve reasonable compromises.
