🎥 The mystery of the US troops' withdrawal from Iraq

The images of the chaotic withdrawal of US forces from Kabul in the summer of 2021 still symbolize the end of one of Washington's longest wars; but America's withdrawal from Iraq, four years later, tells a different story.

In Afghanistan, Washington withdrew after years of security failure and amid the collapse of the Kabul government; in Iraq, the troop reduction is taking place as the Baghdad government has gained more power to secure its own safety.

However, the withdrawal of soldiers does not necessarily mean America's withdrawal from Iraq's equations; where bases and infiltration networks still remain.
