Water industry spokesperson: Water management is not possible without people's participation

🔹 The 14th government took a strategic and different step in the field of water governance, alongside measures of conventional instruments in the water sector. This new approach is based on the participation of people in the management of water resources.

With the approval of the 7th development plan, the parliament and the government decided to separate the responsibility for establishing the cooperative management and organization of user organizations from the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad and assigning it to the Ministry of Energy. Now the 14th government has put the establishment of local water governance on the agenda by implementing this decision.

The affairs of sovereignty cannot be delegated, but a large part of the business affairs can be entrusted to the people themselves.

We believe that without people's participation, solving the water crisis is beyond the responsibility of the government.
