🔹 These days also coincide with the anniversary of the breaking of the siege of Abadan. If the siege of Abadan was broken, as ordered by the great Imam, the leader of the Revolution, it was the result of careful planning of an operational plan and its courageous implementation with the effort and sacrifice of commanders and fighters in Operation Samen al-A’emma.

In those days, the Ba'athist enemy put Abadan under a severe siege by cutting off the Ahvaz and Mahshahr roads and building communication bridges over the Karun. The Abadan Refinery, the country's energy heart and the largest refinery in West Asia, was shut down under direct artillery fire, oil pipelines were cut, and the city's water and electricity grid was almost destroyed; Saddam wanted to force the people of Abadan to surrender by imposing starvation and a crisis of shortage of items and people's needs, but the resistance and strength of the people stood against it. Coupled with the fighting and heroism of the warriors of Islam, it thwarted this conspiracy and the one-year siege was broken within 48 hours.
