Referring to the registration of approximately 440,000 cases of animal bites last year, the head of the Center for the Management of Infectious Diseases at the Ministry of Health and Medical Education said: Controlling and eliminating rabies is not possible only by providing services after a bite, and priority must be given to dog vaccination, scientific management of their population, public education and inter-ministerial cooperation.
