Trump claimed to renew negotiations between Iran and the US

Axios: Shortly after rejecting Iran's proposal to end the war, the US president claimed in an interview with the Axios website that a new round of negotiations had begun between Tehran and Washington.

Trump told this American media: I expect that there will be further negotiations with Iran (this week). They want to reach an agreement which is not what I want. Maybe we would have agreed to this agreement a year ago. (The Iranian side) raised his hand a lot.
