๐น The eighth day of the Nagoya Asian Games for Iran's sports delegation was accompanied by making history in women's weightlifting and trampoline, a bronze medal in boxing, and a victory for the national volleyball team.
In weightlifting, Rahan Karimi won the bronze medal, the first medal in the history of Iranian weightlifting in the Asian Games.
๐น In trampoline, Iranian representatives competed in this field for the first time in the history of the Asian Games. In the women's division, Fateme Tousli became the first Iranian girl to advance from the preliminary round at the Asian Games by reaching the final and taking fifth place. Yalda Hassanshoukati also finished her run in the preliminary round.
๐น In the men's division, Mohammad Saeedabadi and Aria Mambadolla reached the seventh and fifth places in the final, respectively. Despite his good performance, Mambadolla failed to advance to the super final due to a controversial refereeing decision. In boxing, Amir Esmaili secured his bronze medal by advancing to the semifinals.
In volleyball, the Iranian team defeated Kyrgyzstan 3-0. In women's tennis, Meshkat-ol-Zahra Safi and Mandegar Farzami advanced to the next round by winning against their opponents.
๐น In 10-meter synchronized diving, Sam Vajir and Mohammad M'jiroslam ranked fifth with a score of 272.70.
In water polo, the Iranian team lost 12-8 to China. In archery, Iranian representatives failed to reach higher stages.
At the end of the 8th day, Iran's sports delegation won 7 gold medals, 14 silver medals, and 8 bronze medals, for a total of 29 medals.
