Host: Regarding your proposal to establish a seven-day ceasefire. President Trump rejected this proposal. What is your response?

🔹 Iraqi: First of all, I must say that it was very interesting to hear the words of the American ambassador; in order to answer a very simple question, namely why they are rejecting the seven-day plan, the ambassador resorted to old and unproven accusations.

This seven-day plan can return conditions in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz to normal conditions. So the important question is, why are they rejecting this plan? This is the question they need to answer.

It is also strange to me that the ambassador is talking about the seven-day plan when he apparently hasn't read it. It is possible that he didn't receive copies of it at all.

Our proposal is quite clear. We are ready to open the Strait of Hormuz, provided that the United States takes certain steps. These demands are not new and were not brought up out of nowhere; these are our rights that we want respected.

First of all, we want this war, this war of aggression, to end. They started this war eight months ago in the hope that they could win within two or three days. Now eight months have passed and we want this war to end.

🔹 We want our money and assets that were illegally blocked to be released. We want to be able to sell our oil.

Therefore, we have specific demands that the United States has committed to in previous agreements.
