The presence of the Iranian diplomatic delegation in New York was accompanied by the presentation of a specific plan to end the war and return to the negotiation track; The plan, centered on Tehran's conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz, was conveyed to Washington through intermediaries and showed that Iran, in addition to being ready to face any pressure and threat, left the path of diplomacy open to overcome the crisis.

The pillars and foundations of the plan that Iran passed on to the mediators were the same articles that the US President signed in the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding on June 28 of this year.
