From the rock-carved caves of Elephanta and the centuries-old heritage of Mumbai to modern towers, the stock market, Bollywood and digital payments, this Indian metropolis presents a multi-layered picture of the connection between history and the future; A story recorded by an IRNA reporter during a trip to Mumbai from a city that combines tradition and technology simultaneously in its daily life.

One of the most famous symbols of Mumbai is the "Gate of India". This monument was built in 1911 on the occasion of the visit of George V, King of Great Britain, and Queen Mary to India. Its architecture is done in the Indo-Saracenic style and its construction was completed in 1924. This building is located on Apollo Bandar Beach facing the Arabian Sea. But today, for those standing in front of India Gate, it means much more than colonial history. This building is the calling card of Mumbai.
