🔹 On the 4th of Mahar 1359, the Ba'ath army of Iraq, which arose after the conquest of Qasr-Shirin to advance rapidly in the west of the country, faced surprising resistance behind the gates of Gilnagarb. The people of the city joined hands with basic weapons, local forces, army and gendarmerie and did not allow the city that the enemy thought would be safe to fall to be captured.
