The Islamic Republic of Iran reiterates its firm commitment to international law, the United Nations Charter and diplomacy. This commitment was clearly expressed in the negotiations that led to the nuclear agreement (JCPOA), in its implementation, as well as in Iran's ongoing efforts to continue on the path of diplomacy over the past two years.
Even when Iran faced the aggressive actions of America and Israel's captive regime, the United States chose a different path: aggression, threats, assassination, economic war and blatant disregard for international law and the United Nations Charter.
During America's aggression and Israel's captive regime against Iran, more than five thousand people were killed, hundreds of them women and children. The assassination of the supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran and a number of senior political and military officials in the country was a gross crime and a clear violation of international law. Residential areas, schools, hospitals, energy facilities, sports and cultural venues, transportation infrastructure, and other civilian targets were subject to ground attacks. The killing of more than 168 students and teachers in Minab, the cluster bomb ground attack on Lamard Stadium, the bombing of residences in Bakhti with 2,000 pound bombs, and the ground missile attack on a wedding ceremony in Sirik are just examples of these attacks that have been documented.
However, the President of the United States, together with the Prime Minister of the POW regime, tried to distort the facts and change the position of the victim and the aggressor from the platform of the General Assembly. The United States and Israel's captive regime cannot clean up their actions against the Iranian people.
The United States has now turned economic deprivation into a tool for collective punishment and political pressure. This country is intentionally causing severe and predictable damage to the Iranian people and directly violates their fundamental rights, including the right to life, health, access to medicine and food. This is not diplomacy; Coercion and murder is economic. These measures constitute a clear and direct violation of the binding temporary measures issued by the International Court of Justice on October 3, 2018.
Iran's peaceful nuclear program
The new allegations about Iran's peaceful nuclear program are political in nature and cannot replace technical and legal assessments. The claim that Iran is on the verge of obtaining nuclear weapons is a big lie.
This claim was first raised by Israeli prisoners in 2003, and since then the United States and European countries have repeated it. Since 1970, Iran has operated as a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and has been under extensive supervision by the IAEA for several decades. The United States cannot simultaneously claim to protect the non-proliferation system and target peaceful nuclear facilities under IAEA safeguards; An action that constitutes a clear violation of the international obligations of this country.
