The Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejected the baseless claims of the Colombian government regarding Iran

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while completely rejecting the Colombian government's baseless allegations against the Islamic Republic of Iran, strongly condemns the accusation against some of Iran's official militant armed forces.
The action of the Colombian government in hurling baseless accusations against Iran and at the same time announcing the severing of diplomatic relations, which have existed for more than half a century, goes against the principle of mutual respect and goes against the interests of both nations. It goes without saying that none of the Colombian government's claims to justify this decision are justified and logical, and this decision was only made by the intrusion of Israel and America. The Colombian government, which according to undeniable documents and evidence, is under the influence of drug production and distribution cartels and is in fact part of the terrifying network of drug assassinations (narco-assassination) in the Americas and abroad, is in no way able to preach to others about assassinations and drugs. Such a projection of hypocrites cannot remove the international responsibility of the Colombian government for participating in the smuggling of large drug shipments to all parts of the world, including Iran. The seizure of a shipment of 55 kilograms of pure Colombian cocaine in Tehran at the end of September, smuggled directly to Iran by a network associated with Colombian infiltrators, is one of the latest cases of transnational organized crime attributed to the Colombian government. It was expected that the relevant authorities of the Colombian government would cooperate within the framework of their international legal obligations to identify the main elements involved in the smuggling of this shipment and similar shipments to Iran and other countries in the region, rather than reacting hastily to this issue.
In order to protect its national interests, the Islamic Republic of Iran will take the necessary steps against this unjustified and hostile attitude of the Colombian government.
