🔸 The meeting of the foreign ministers of the Salami Republic of Iran and Portugal

Seyed Abbas Irakchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Paulo Rangel, Foreign Minister of Portugal, met and said Thursday afternoon on the sidelines of the 80th Ambush Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

At this meeting, the foreign ministers of Iran and Portugal exchanged views on the most important international developments and bilateral issues of interest to both countries.

While explaining the current developments in the region, our country's foreign minister referred to the insecurity in the Strait of Hormuz and the disruption of shipping as a direct result of the aggressive actions of the US and Israel, and emphasized that the restoration of shipping security in the region requires an end to the insecurity measures of the US and the economic assassination.

Irakchi stated that the European Union and its member states have an independent, responsible and international law-compliant approach to developments in the West Asian region.
